JAMES W. GOAD

CPA – Founding Partner

James Goad is a CPA and Founder of Goad and Company with over 59 years of public and governmental accounting experience. He served as Finance Officer for the United States Army from 1967-1978 and was awarded several military honors, including the Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Medal. Jim spent an additional 13 years in the US Army Reserve and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served as President of the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy and was a member of the Board of Directors from 1997-2002 and on the AICPA Auditing Standards Board from 2003-2006. He is the Past President of the Arkansas Society of Public Accountants and is currently a member of multiple professional organizations, including the AICPA, Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

MATTHEW K. CLARK

CPA – Managing Partner

Matthew Clark is a CPA with over 10 years of experience in public accounting as a tax advisor. He graduated summa cum laude from Arkansas State University with a double major in Accounting and Mathematics in 2010 and a Master of Accountancy in 2011. He has served in a partner role in a public accounting firm since 2014. He joined Goad and Company’s team as the tax manager in 2019 and became a tax partner in 2020. He is a member of the AICPA and the Arkansas Society for Certified Public Accountants.

SARAH M. BOWDEN

CPA – Audit Partner

Sarah Bowden is a CPA with over 15 years of experience in accounting and business management. She graduated summa cum laude from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2006 and has since gained valuable experience working in the media industry and public accounting. She joined Goad and Company’s audit team in 2019 and became an audit partner in 2020. She is a member of the AICPA and the Arkansas Society for Certified Public Accountants.
